Because the low today is 1 degree, and the wind won't stop howling. Dreaming of road trips, and the California sun. Also, because I forgot to post these months ago, and better late than never.
San Francisco: Part 3

I swear school had taken over my life you guys. Like I think I live and breath school. Lets just say I can't wait for this semester to be over.
So here I am trying to get caught up on San Francisco shenanigans. Before Zac and I got to San Francisco we checked Groupon to see if there were any good deals going on while we were there. We ended up finding super cheap tickets for a tour of the USS Pampanito, a World War II submarine. Zachary loves stuff like this, and I am all about learning history (I swear he knows everything), so we got the Groupon. It was extremely cool! It is a self-guided tour, but I basically had my own personal tour guide. It really was the coolest thing you guys! I would definitely recommend it.
After walking around the Pier for a little bit, and our tour we headed up to the Coit Tower. This place was pretty awesome! We didn't pay to go up the tour, but there was still some incredible views up at the top of the hill. Plus, it was in a cool part of town, so after we were done there we just wandered around for a bit. We went to our favorite book store, ate lunch at the most amazing restaurant (Calzones), and went and sat at a park with the rest of the locals. It was an awesome day.

It is kind of crazy knowing that San Francisco will always be a place that will be important to us, but really is there any place better? I love this city so much.
San Francisco: Part 2

So I guess we could call this post an engagement story, or the best/most exciting/most surprising day of my entire life. You know how most people know something like this is coming? Not me. I was SURE this wasn't happening for another six months. Oh how wrong I was.
We started the day off at It's Tops Coffee Shop, a diner we deemed our own just around the corner from where we were staying in the mission district. They have the best pancakes on the planet I swear, and the most delicious coffee. Here is a face of a smug Zachary with a ring in his pocket, and I am just sitting there not having a clue.
We had decided on walking/hiking to Twin Peaks which is basically the most beautiful overlook of the entire city. It seriously was something else. I felt like I couldn't stop taking pictures. After a while I realized that I was looking through my lens too much. I put the camera down, and just took it all in. That is when it happened.
Yet another smug face of the love of my life about to change our lives forever. Insert barf bag here.
Even though we were surrounded by people, in that moment it was just us. We didn't draw attention to ourselves. I was just standing there taking in this incredible view, and the next thing I know Zachary has a ring in his hand, and I am putting it on my finger. I am not going to share all the details, because this moment was ours. All I will say is that what he said to me is the most perfect thing anyone could ever say, and I can't imagine ever living my life without this human by my side. He is my one and only, and I thank God every day for placing him in my life. Zachary, I love you more than the air I breathe.
After this wonderful roller coaster of a morning we headed down to the Palace of Fine Arts. We called our parents, ran around, and smiled A LOT.
And of course our engagement story wouldn't be complete without a trip to Yoda for some words of wisdom.
I love you Zachary. Let the adventures begin!San Francisco pt. 1

For those of you that follow me on Instagram know that I spent a week in San Francisco last week with Zachary. San Francisco is one of our favorite spots, and we decided to go back this time and do some more exploring. We took a spontaneous road trip there earlier this year, and did most of the tourist stuff. This time we stayed right outside the mission district, and got more of a local feel.
Our first stop was to double rainbow ice cream. So this is a funny story. Zac has a friend that suggested this place making it seem like an actual ice cream parlor. Well obviously we were feeling like some ice cream, so we set off to find it. What we ended up being led to was a whole sale factory for double rainbow. Turns out it is just a brand, not an ice cream shop. One of the guys that worked there was thankfully there, so we were able to see if we maybe had just come to the wrong place. Turns out it is ONLY whole sale, but that didn't stop the awesome man working there from giving us some free samples... thank you sir, we will take pint sized free samples ALL THE DAYS!
After finishing off our delicious ice cream we decided to explore Valencia Street aka the hipster haven of the world. Seriously, this street was all thrift shops, cafes, and street graffiti. Basically it was very entertaining to explore.
Look at this handsome guy! Nothing better than exploring with him. After thoroughly exploring Valencia we continued to wander around the Mission District.
