Ice Bucket Challenge

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

While I may have my own opinions of the ever growing popularity of the ice bucket challenge, I couldn't pass up the opportunity of documenting my little brother taking it on. I had been feeling like I was neglecting my camera recently, so I decided this was the perfect opportunity for it to capture some action. I was very happy with the results.
Obviously I had to capture photos of my cute pups. I am obsessed with Olive's curly tufts behind her ears, but she absolutely hates it when I touch them. Haha
The unfortunate (best) part of this whole experience was that my mother did not know how to work Instagram video. She was not aware that in order to record you had to HOLD the button down the entire time, so basically what we got was him about to pour it on his head, and then him soaking wet. We all got a pretty good laugh out of that. However, we did not have a proper video to post.... so he did it twice.
What a good sport, this brother of mine.

Everything Is Good

Friday, August 8, 2014

I was surprised by some of the responses I got yesterday about my post. Everyone read into it thinking that I was unhappy, and that I had something toxic in my life. You guys, I AM HAPPY! They were just words I felt like writing yesterday. Some things don't have hidden messages. Sometimes thoughts are just simply that.. THOUGHTS! So for all of you that think I am depressed and unhappy, I am the happiest I have ever been, and I am loving every second of my life right now. Just sayin'!

Now

Thursday, August 7, 2014

I think people waste so much of their lives waiting for right moments. If it isn't today, maybe it will be tomorrow. One of these days I will be ready. One of these days things will happen. I am sorry, but I don't believe a word of it. I believe that if you want to do something you just have to go out and do it. There is no such thing as the "right" moment. The "right" moment is now, and if you don't take that leap of faith then you will always be stuck where you were yesterday.

The same thing goes for if you are a part of something, or have something toxic in your life. You all know what I mean by that. I don't think I need to explain it. There is never going to be a "right" time to end it. If things are bad they will only get worse. A bad thing rarely turns into a good one. Stop pretending that things will get better, and be BRAVE. Be the one to let go. Know when something is no longer a good thing, and remove it from your life. It just isn't worth it, and if we all spend so much of our time waiting for the "right" moment anyway.. by the time you think it might be the time the moment will have already passed. Then the cycle starts all over again.

So lets just own our own lives, and do things in the now. There is no such thing as the perfect time. YOU make it the perfect time.

The Rest Of Costa Rica

Sunday, August 3, 2014

I am going to be completely honest by saying that I am kind of done with the Costa Rica trip posts. I am ready to move on and get back to posting about other things besides trips I took months ago. All I can say is Costa Rica is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to, and I would consider myself one lucky lady if I ever get to go back there.

So instead of telling you about the rest of my trip I am just going to post the remainder of my photos. There aren't that many, but they are by far my favorites from the entire trip. If I could say anything about traveling it would be to just save up and do it. There are so many places and things to explore in this world, and it is always worth it to learn and find those things. I am a traveling soul, and always will be. So here are some pretty pictures until my next adventure! Enjoy.

There you have it folks! The end of Costa Rica.
