Hello all you wonderful humans! It's been a little bit (again)! I hope all is well in the blogging world. I have missed this little blog of mine, and have officially (I think) decided it is time to give it a little more love.
I am currently sitting in my kitchen eating "healthy" pepperoni, and thinking about what I could share with all you lovelies. For some reason my brain keeps coming back to running... Yup, here we go.
So Zachary and I have been using the app 5K Runner to try and get into running. So far it has actually been great! We are about halfway through, and I can feel the runs getting a little bit easier each time. Everything was going great until I decided to suggest running the trail at Tanner Park.
WORST.DECISION.EVER.
Let me try and describe this trail accurately for you.... UP HILL DEATH TRAP!
Let me try to accurately describe what I looked like running up said up hill death trap.... Basically like someone running up an up hill death trap.
But seriously you guys, I can't remember the last time I ran uphill, and I don't think you can call what I was doing "running". It was more like a slow shuffle with the occasional hunching over because I thought I was going to puke. Of course I am sitting there BASICALLY DYING, and I see Zachary running with what looks like ease up this 1098932847 mile hill (he will tell you that he was dying as well, but obviously he is lying).
I don't really know what the point of this story was other than to tell you I almost died, and I guess we should be happy I am still here. What I can't seem to figure out is how my brain is okay with me thinking about doing it again tomorrow. Obviously I suffered some kind of brain damage due to lack of oxygen or something. Wish me luck this next time around!

I am always so impressed with those humans, boys AND girls, that have the will power to get up and get completely ready that early in the morning. Like I am seriously impressed, especially since I went to my final without brushing my hair, no makeup, and wearing the shirt I went to bed in. I brushed my teeth, and that felt successful! Haha Maybe one of these days I will be one of those humans, but it ain't looking to hot at the moment. And ask me if I have gotten ready since then.... yeah, that would be a no. Ask me if I feel bad about it... yeah, that would also be a no. I did go running, so I have done something productive. Hey, and I'm blogging which we all know is like a once in a lifetime occurrence lately. Haha Sorry about it.
How have finals been for everyone else? I have been pleasantly surprised with how my finals have gone so far. I am pretty sure my professors felt bad just for me, so they decided to go easy on me. I'm not complaining. Things will start getting more interesting as soon is school is done. On Wednesday I am heading down to Moab for the weekend, so you best believe I will be taking ALL THE PICTURES!! So yeah, you can look forward to that I guess.
For all of you that still have finals, GOOD LUCK! For all of you that don't... Take my tests for me please and thank you.
p.s- I woke up to snow on my car this morning, and I am still upset about it. Seriously Utah, get it together and give me summer! Also, my Head and the Heart tickets came in the mail and I WANT TO CRY!

Life Lately

I figured since I have been a little absent lately, I would catch everyone up on what I have been up to the last weekend or two. Well first off, skateboarding. My friend Paige and I have taken up skateboarding/ rollerblading at the park as a fun new summer hobby. Basically, it has been the absolute best, and I can stand on the board without falling on my face now. Success!
Other than that I have been taken complete advantage of summer concerts! Last weekend I dragged my friend Kayla to Battle of the Bands down in Provo. I seriously was soo amazed by the talent at this thing. Seriously unreal. I went down there to meet a friend/ listen to his new band. The story of how I met this wonderfully talented sir is a complicated one, but trust me.. his band is AMAZING! And the band members may or may not be quite handsome. Just sayin'
Anyways, the bands name is Strange Family. I definitely recommend looking them up on Facebook! But seriously, soooo good you guys! And I go to a lot of concerts!
STRANGE FAMILY!
So that was last weekend. This weekend was also a fun one! I got to see probably my all time favorite local band, Holy Water Buffalo, play at the Utah Arts Festival. It was soo much fun. The arts festival is one of my favorite things about summer, and I always look forward to it. There are some pretty talented people here in good ol' Utah, and I am always amazed at the talent and creativity there. This year there were dancers that danced on the side of a glass building. It was seriously incredible! I wish I could explain it better.
Anyways, Holy Water Buffalo was fantastic as always. It definitely turned into an interesting night when some unexpected people showed up at the front of the stage, but other than that it was a normal outing. It was also my first outdoor concert of the summer! Whooo! Hopefully there are many more to come.
Now for Friday. I got to go to Lagoon, and it was magical. Alright, maybe not magical, but it was pretty fantastic. I LOVE amusement parks. I could spend all day in one, although I did find out that I am turning into a grandma and have to take some kind of pain med before I start going on rides. Seriously though, first ride in and I had a head ache. When did this happen?! But yeah, it was great fun.
Best part of it all.. there was literally a group of four boys that looked IDENTICAL to One Direction. I am not joking you guys. IDENTICAL!!! We saw them around the park all day, and I think I had a connection with the Harry look-a-like. We totally looked at each other, and it was magical. Even if he was like 12 years old. Not really, but might as well have been.
We definitely rode a ride with them though, and now I can say I rode a ride with One Direction dopplegangers. Basically as cool as it gets.
My brother/cousin/friends also talked me into going on the ferris wheel.
Don't ask me why I didn't think about my extreme fear of heights before getting on this thing. Let's just say there was a lot of screaming and threatening to jump out.. maybe.
Anyone have anything fun happen over the weekend?

But like seriously though, is there anything better than summer?? I always think that fall or spring are my favorite times of the year, but somehow it's summer I am always craving. I think with summer there comes a sense of freedom. The freedom of time to stay out late with friends, walking the streets or hanging at the park. The freedom to be outside in the night time with the warm air and cool breeze. The freedom of a new season and a new story.
I feel like summer has already started off great! Days and nights (mostly nights) spent walking around with friends, playing tennis (even though you don't know how to), kicking a soccer ball around, deep conversations, farmers markets, flirting, going to outdoor concerts, meeting new people, skateboarding, swinging, witnessing drug deals (for real, it happened), driving with the windows down, blasting music, juggling (but not really), playing with exercise balls, riding bikes that or too small (or big), ice cream, pool days... the list goes on!
I JUST LOVE SUMMER!
I will try a lot harder to take some pictures of my summer shenanigans. But I'm telling you know... I have a good feeling about this summer. I think it is going to be a summer to remember.
Now I will leave you with some pretty summer-like photos that are not mine, because I have zero so yeah...
What are some of your favorite summer time traditions/activities/shenanigans??

Skate or Die
Thursday, March 28, 2013
I am sorry for all the posts about wishing for summer, but here is just another reason as to why it needs to come faster. I just want to skateboard ok? I think I mentioned about a month ago that I had learned how to skateboard. Well really, I learned how to stand on the skateboard without falling off. Accomplishment!
Anyway, because it has been so dang cold I haven't been able to go outside and practice. Because I am the type of person who practices how to skateboard.. duh. So yeah, learning how to skateboard was probably the coolest thing I have ever done, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. So sunshine please come faster. Pretty please.
Do any of you lovely ladies skateboard? I sure hope I am not the only one.. because that would be sad.
